WBC Trap Network Has Moved!
The Western Bean Cutworm Trap Network has moved! The network will now be called the Great Lakes and Maritimes Pest Monitoring Network and will include trap sites from Michigan, Ohio, New York, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador. We are grateful for all of the crop consultants, scouts, extension personnel, farmers and researchers across this region that monitor these traps and send in their weekly trap counts.
Anyone is free to join the network and include their trap sites and catch data for western bean cutworm, European corn borer, black cutworm, corn earworm, true armyworm and fall armyworm. Trap catches can be entered in field and real time maps will display what each pest flight is doing. A new feature includes a dashboard for each trap participant to see a summary of results of their trapping data during the season.
